I'll join but i wont be able to go to many meetings. I can't drive yet. My friend may be intersted also. Do you guys do frag swaps? I'm a coral noob but i want to start.
Please add me in I hope to make the May meeting as well ! Will host one as soon as my system is more than just "Finally running". It's pretty much still bare at the moment, and the rest of the basement and bar isn't done yet either
If you're still trying to keep a running member list, might as well add my wife too, since she's the one pushing me to get all this done Name on RC is, of course, "Scooters Wife".
Sure, stop on by !! Isn't much to look at in there yet though.
The tank was initially going to be bigger and 8 feet long. However, once I started working on the basement floor plan I couldn't find a way to make it fit I settled on a 72x24x24. However, when I ordered the tank I asked if I could have it made taller. Something about acrylic getting wasted anyway and some from the edges of each sheet being unusable, they said they could add 2 to 3 inches in height at no charge, so that's what I ended up with. It is 72x24x26.5
I think it actually works out to cloer to 195 gal.
LOL, I'm glad it's not 30 tall. I already get wet to my armpits if I have to reach clear to the bottom.
Welcome Scooter and wife (poor woman doesnt have a name lol)
I met her AND know her name and I THINK Scooter is the trouble maker.
She came to get some corals from me and he would'nt let her get anything not on his list
Well, when you're pushing 40 and your own mother still refers to you as "The Brat" you could be right
But, she needs lists
I didn't want the damsel moved to the new tank. WHO, along with a friend, pestered me about "It's been our most faithful fish" until I figured I had a safe bet: that if they could catch it in under two minutes it could go in the new tank?
LOL, they caught it !!! They completely forgot the "have a bag ready" though. Next thing I know the friend is running to the tank and dumped the fish right in ! It took a whole night of water up to my armpits to get him back out !!!
Oh, anyone want a yellow damsel for free? He's lonely in the 55 all by his lonesome. (He's in a time-out!)
Thanks for the welcoming posts everyone! My name is Dan, so feel free to say "HI" if you catch me on here! I am relatively new to reefing (4months) but have kept freshwater tanks off and on for most of my life. I also kept a FO saltwater tank for a few years before shutting it down about a year and a half ago.
And Kass.... I'm glad I PM'd you and found y'all as well!
Hi Dan,
