Hello,
I am intersted in joining your group. I am new to reef aquariums, but do have approx 10 years of saltwater aquarium experiance. In searching the web and doing background research, I found nanotanks (20 gal. or less) to fit my interests, space, and budget needs. I have had some help from individuals on the nanotank.com forums and am getting close to taking the first steps (buying the equipment and setup). Is there a good source for LR and LS in the Fox Valley area or is it usually bet ordered online?

Welcome to the club. We are a casual group of fellow reefers who get together once a month to view each others tanks and chat about whatever strikes our fancy. Keep an eye on the posts as we do group buys every now and then. The posts will also keep you up on when meetings occur.
As to lr and ls in the valley, define "good". If you want small amounts of really quality stuff, I would order some online or put a thread out on RC for a group buiy. What I see in stores anywhere is a poor substitute for the online stuff. A few weeks back someone in the club jumped into our livestock order posting and asked about liverock. Maybe you could check him/her out and see about a group buy. There will probably be interest.

Like Hella says no pressure here we all just do what we can to help each other out and it works great. I have an Oceans Motions 8 way on my tank and really like it I might of plumbed it a little different but that still can be done if I really want to but it does give me a great flow for my tank.

hi all - i am not in the valley - about an 1 1/2 north but would like to join in if thats OK? if any of you attended dr f&s frag swap the last 2 years you may know us as traders there. i don't have anything fragged to trade at this time but could easily do some cutting by the end of oct.
