I came across the signal goby or two spot goby on liveaquaria.com under the nano tank compatible fish. I've owned signal gobies twice. Once in a 50 gallon breeder reef (12 years ago) with a 3-4" aragonite bed and what id consider to be a decent culture of copepods and amphipods. I kept this as a teenager and thought that it would survive naturally feeding off organisms in the sand. I was wrong. And again in a 20 gallon high 24x12x16 reef 4 years ago. In the 20 gallon, I never really got the goby to eat and it starved a few weeks after purchase.
2 questions on this. 1. Does anyone have signal goby experience and tips and tricks for feeding them? 2. Are signal gobies really suitable for nano aquariums 20-40 gallons?
