silica sand?

Anyone know where I can pick up some silica sand in the area? I only need a bag or two.

No clue. I read it is safe to use in a hospital tank if you are treating a sand sifting goby for ich. It doesn't absorb the copper. The article also said it was also used as blasting sand and for ashtrays in garbage cans? I just bought some play sand from home depot. I will toss it after treatment is complete.

Play sand is usually predominately silica based.

yeah ,....... i sandblast for a living and i know they outlawed silica sand for blasting
