Silica sand???

OK I used to have this in my 150 when it was fresh water although I tried to clean it all out I still have very little sand. I live in a apretment so it's not like I can go outside and hose it down. All the sand still in the tank wouldn't even equal half a pound. Its just spread out in areas of the tank and really hard to remove. Can I just leave this when adding my salt and new substrate???? it won't cause any problems will it??

you will be more than fine. i have silica sand in my tank, have been using it for over 2 years.
