I need help with finding out what kind of silicone to use when building sumps. I checked at Lowe's and I didn't see any that says aquarium safe could you give me some brand names that are safe to use? Thanks for any help. KJ

Use GE I (not II) - the kind without mildew-resistant agents. They don't say 'aquarium-safe' because of insurance reasons.

Walmart carries a good silicone says aquarium safe and has been good for my stuff. Liquid nails makes it its in the paint /glue/caulking section says aquarium safe on the package . never had any issues with it

Use the clear, 100% silicone caulk with no mildew additives (or any others for that matter). It is likley to be be safe enough for use on aquariums. I used some basic silicone from Home Depot for my sump baffles and had no toxicity problems.
