silly question; Magnifica and urchin together ok?

I was thinking of adding a couple long spined (diadema) urchins. I'm a bit worried about the spines and my large H. Magnifica anemone. Anyone with experience regarding this combo?

I cannot comment on either critter since I've never had those two specific species (imagine those together in a 25 gallon, wowza!)

However, I cannot recommend tuxedo urchins enough! GREAT algae eaters, tons of personality (carrying around all sorts of weird things), and actually not too bad at the bulldozer reputation.

I have two of them that I place back and forth between my 20g frag and 25 dt (same system) depending on which side the "grass is greener" and they do a great job.


Can also be found in some crazy colors.

I have never had the pacific long spined, but have had tuxedo and caribbean ling spine with no issues.
