silver gill bubble

my lighting system blew about 4 days ago, due to the cost i was unable to get a system for 4 days...when i got my new T5 system (its sweet) i noticed that one of my pajama cardnals had a real big silver bubble in its gill, at first i thought it was a snail shell but saw that it flexed when it breathed....what is that!!! i mean its huge...about half the size of its head, its some kind of growth but now what? what is it and should i remove the fish from the tank?!

Could it be an isopod? Does it look like a pill bug with large black eyes?

i dont see any eyes, just a huge silver bubble....its the weirdest thing ive ever seen, it looks like a snail shell stuck in its gill
