Simple quarantine method please?

Hi, I want to improve on the buy a fish , drip it and add it to the display method most people use. I know a true, serious quarantine method is long and tedious. I am also certain there is a simpler way to simply improve my chances of not adding a disease to my display.
I propose to use the Blue Life Safety Stop before adding my fish to a quarantine tank. I would like to know, there after what product should I use in the quarantine tank over a month or so. I refuse copper, it's too touchy and I do not believe it is good for the fish assuming the fish might not even have a disease in the first place. I heard Prazi pro...any experiences or ideas? Thanks

I generally observe each new fish for a minimum of 2 months before adding it to a tank with an established population.
The only prophylactic treatment I use is a 45 minute formalin bath (37%, 20 drops/gallon).
After that it's wait and see.
Further treatment is only administered as needed (= fish show symptoms of infection)
My QTs are usually small tanks (10 gal or less, depending on the size of the fish), sparsely decorated with artificial live rock and excess algae (usually Caulerpa) to make the fish feel more at home.

Ideally you combine the above baths with transfers to a clean (= sterile) tank every other day (or even every day if you suspect Amyloodinium/Velvet) for two weeks. That should take care of most of the nastiest parasites: Brooklynella, Trichodina, Uronema, Amyloodinium, Cryptocaryon, some Monogenean ("flukes"), and a few other.
Though in case of Amyloodinium I would rather rely on CP.

You will get a 100 replies and they'll all be different. You have to learn by trial and error in finding what's right for you.

Personally, I put new fish in a clean QT and wait until they are eating and active..usually takes a day or two and then start treating them with Prazipro for 5-days. Then they are moved to another clean QT. I immediately start Copper Power treatments. Target level is 1.75 ppm that is ramped up over 4 days as follows...

Day 1 - .64 ppm
Day 2 - 1.12 ppm
Day 3 - 1.44 ppm
Day 4 - 1.75 ppm

With copper you can ramp up fast over the first couple of days but then need to slow down as you approach therapeutic levels. They stay in that QT for 14-days.
