Single 6095 Wave?

hobbzz

How do I change this?
I have a single 6095 using the 24v jumper in a 48" x 24" x 12" tank. I was wondering if it would be possible to get a wave going with just the one. I'm using my Apex, and realise I will need info regarding the programming from another forum, but I'm wondering if one is even capable of creating a wave in this size tank? I plan on getting another in a few months, but want to try it with one in the mean time if it's possible. There is a corner overflow, which is currently on the opposite side of the 6095. Thanks in advance.

With the correct timing a wave should be possible though it will likely be fairly short. I would move it so it is in front of the corner overflow and hitting the far wall and has a minimum of obstacles between the pump and far wall.

Short as in length or time? Like long waves with a larger distance between crests or fast moving waves with short interval between each crest? Any guess on programming? Longer time at 100% or fairly even times between 30%/100%?

I also read that, aside form the clacking noise, going from completely off to 100% repeatedly won't cause any abnormal harm or wear and tear But it wasn't about the 6095's that I read this, I believe that it was about the 6105's. Is this also the case with the 6095's? Thanks Roger.

Short as in amplitude or height of the wave. The frequency will be a function of tank length, you will have to get the precise timing that corresponds with the resonance frequency of the tanks length, shorter tanks have a shorter frequency, 4ft is at the boundaries of what will be a somewhat natural wave frequency but still "short" or fast.

It should be 0-100 and roughly .40-.60 seconds and the hundredths of a second do matter.
