single bulb - VHO ballast ??

I'd like to add a 36" 95watt T12 bulb to my tank's lighting. Could I get a recommendation of a ballast that will drive just one bulb ??

Thanks.

ARO AS220 from HelloLights will overdrive it a bit at 110w and definitely will drive only 1 bulb. Just cap the other wires. $40ish in the DIY parts.

I second the ARO. A cheap and versatile ballast, well worth the $40. I have an extra one for sale if interested, along two pair of endcaps, standoffs and a brand new 36" URI 95w Superactinic bulb. I used the ballast only two weeks and decided to take another route with my lighting. rnowak68_@hotmail.com

Thanks for the replies. I currently have an ARO AS-220, but thought it was a serial ballast and would not operate in a single bulb arrangement.

Just cap the other circuit ?? :D :D :D

Yep, just cap it. (Or leave it dangling if you dare ;) 'frrrrraaaaaapp!' :hmm4: )

I know from adding bulbs recently that if the AS-220 is plugged in and you insert only one bulb it fires just fine.

yep and hellolights says that too on thier website under the aro 220 i just bought one to fire two bulbs though and they cant be beat for the money.

icecap is nice but not 3x as nice. i think a icecap 440 runs 120 and you can get 3 aro 220 for that price.
