single fish for my prop tank?

thanks snorvich... I suppose if the body can fit, the fish can make it through. Seeing that (2) of you have reported this, I will keep it in mind from now on.

Egg crate is ineffective. Certainly would not keep a six line in the tank. The purpose of the fish is for what?

I know some of the six lines will eat various pests. Its a shame that allot of the wrasses love to carpet surf.

There are plenty of fish that fit that description...

skunk clowns are kind of cool
some of the hawkfish..
dozens of cool different damslefishes
pruple tilefish are cool so are many goby and dartfish varieties.

Take a look at liveaquaria or another vendors site that has a large selection. You will find something that fits your needs and pleases the eye.
I would not put a hawk, tiles or gobies in That prop tank for the following reasons.
1. they are all prone to jump.
2. Hawks rest on corals, on small frags this may irritate them significantly.

Use a frame with the plastic netting stuff (aquatic eco has it I think) to keep your fish in the tank. Doesnt block nearly the light that eggcrate does. You could even try to get a trio of flasher wrasses or something for some more color and activity.
