Single Radion on 36 inch tank

I'm thinking of having a 36 x 22 x 22 tank with a single Radion fixture.
The formation of the rock will be mostly in the middle (a single mountain) with open space all around.

I was told that this should work nicely with a single Radion - it would provide ample lighting to any corals in the middle, plus there will be less light reaching the glass, so less algae.

Does this make sense or would it look horrible?

Ive seen this in a few threads on here. I think its more of a personal opinion but the edges would be significantly darker than the rest of the tank
