Please see attached pic - ignore the background :)

The angel is on her 10th day of TTM and I believe I noticed the spot on the 4th day when I saw her attempting to scratch around her eye on the pvc pipes in the QT. I havent seen her attempt to scratch in a few days.

I did not notice the spot when I bought the angel from a fellow reefer so Im not quite sure if its always been there.

I dosed prazipro during the 2nd and 3rd transfers and just dosed again last night after the 4th transfer.

Unfortunately, its a bad pic but any idea what it is?

I would continue to transfer once or twice. Although others might disagree, I think the trophonts don't necessarily drop between 1 to 3 days. They may stay on the fish longer. The 1-3 days are just averages observed in experimental settings by scientists. Just like some reported failures of fallow period, there may be outliers.

Considering that many stores routinely treat with low level copper, it wouldn't surprise me if there are abberant strains found in aquaculture.

It could also possibly be lymphocystis

or its possible that you made a human error during the transfer. Did you make sure that you rattled the heater and filter to ensure that any droplets don't remain.

So I would do one of two options.

1) Do another 2 transfers to see if it disappears. Observe for a month

2) Wait until the spot disappears and redo the transfer.

3) Observe and wait until spot dissapears

Thanks for the reply. I rotate between 3 heaters to ensure theyre dry. I also throw out airline tubes and stones after each use.

Good news is when I came home the spot is gone. I will follow your advice though and extend to 2-3 additional transfers and observe for a few weeks after the last transfer.
