Sinularia kept in sps tank?

My tank is slowly changing from a mixed reef to a sps tank. I have a large yellow sinularia that's been there since the beginning.I have read it should be taken out with all my sps being in the tank now. It's not touching any corals. I recently got a few frags acros and milles and one of the acros is losing its skin. I slowly accclimated to light and everything is fine with the water. Only one frag is doing this. Should I pull the sinularia?

My opinion, I would definitely pull it. The mucus layers that come off will definitely affect the sps and the water toxicity. Sps unfortunately usually lose chemical warfare to other corals and anemones. Usually because the sps polyps are so tiny compared to large leathers/anemones/zoas/ect.
You can always just run a bunch of activated carbon to remove it (and a good skimmer), but to me its easier just to go all sps and not worry about it. Pull it! :D

No GAC I think its going to fish store tomorrow. Should get a good trade in value. Its base is on a large frag plug and one side of it is attached to a large rock.It will be tough but I can remove the rock.It does have a few small sps colonies glued on it. What's the best way to remove the leather? Should I do a dip on the rock or rinse with some tank water before putting it back in?

I have toadstools, large sinularias, neptheas in my Mixed reef with a bunch of SPS and I have had no problems. (knock on wood) SPS are thriving and growing at a steady pace. I do run GAC but only once in a while and I run a large skimmer. My old tank was the same way with all mixed corals and a skimmer rated for the tank size with no issues either.
