Sinularia. Not so great. Shrunken.

This sinularia was the size about hand size when open. I got it little and grew it. I had two large filters in the tank and one day I removed one. Shortly after this shrunk and has never fully reopened. I did put the filter back. I kept this near the bottom. It seemed to close with too much flow even though I read they love flow. Since then I have tried moving it. I have switched to RO water. I have put it in flow areas. Even chaotic flow which I read they like. But It won't open. It did get a little larger than it is in the pic but it the size of an opened hand usually. It has been a few months since it shrunk. I usually leave it alone. Prior to that is was open daily as long as not too much flow. I tried it where it did well. Same thing. I don't have a great pic of when it was open. But I have a pic. I do water changes every two weeks. The tank is a 120. Coralline is growing well. Tank is established. Other soft corals not having trouble. The last pic its on the bottom corner. It was doing well then. It had it for many months doing well. It has been at least two months like this. P

I am guessing sinularia must not like flow changes. I have a beautiful sinularia but last night I added a gyre to my tank to increase flow to get detritus in suspension. Every coral and inverts in the tank seem to love the added flow except the sinularia which is shrunk and polyps retracted. It does still have 1 branch that is open and normal so am hoping the rest of it will adjust.
