one day could not find my fish looking all over in the tank.start thinking i have an hang on overflow box and wouldnt ya know it he got sucked into then went into the back of the overflow and down into the sump must have been cool ride.then the other day same thing this time he only made it into the front of the overflow.question my overflow does not have teeth cut into its just flat would my problem be solved if i cut teeth into.

i run a flat top box too , my green chromis and scooter blenny make the 50 ft trip 2 times a week ,,,,,, they chase food on the surface and go right down in the box , get a hold of DEERE G on RC and he can whip you a top cover that will stop them from going down for cheap ,, i have to get one for mine from him soon ..

I use gutter guard.from lowes
honestly your I wouldnt keep that sixline.They are very mean and hard to catch,I have tried many different ones.All were mean

I took my overflow out and cut the teeth in with a router. Stopped my fish from taking the wild ride to the sump.

I agree my sixline is mean as heck almost wish he wasn't in there .

No problems from mine. I got him from Vu earlier this year and it is totally copacetic.

I have built in overflows with about an inch from the top of the water to the top of the over flow. I have a clown that still manages to jump in there once a week.

my wrasse was the last fish to go in the tank he is ok with other fish that might be the key.
