Six line wrasse missing

So this is weird, my sixline wrasse is missing for no apparent reason, my parameters are fine all other tank mates are non aggressive I don't have any crabs other than two-3 small hermits my btas I don't think are big enough to have eaten it, any ideas?

I've checked everywhere but I didn't move any equipment or rocks yet but I find it hard to believe he's in the overflow since the tank is a Red Sea c130 and the way the hood is designed would make it hard for a fish to get back there, if he died it would be really nice to know time of death

Lol I'll admit it was my least favorite fish but I wish I knew what happened to him, all the other fish are acting normal, I'll keep looking tonight although if he's dead I doubt I'll find anything left of him

Check your sand bed, Mine will hide in the sand bed, sometimes all day. I watched him bury himself one day, they can get deep down in the sand.

Pseudocheilinus sp. wrasses do not sleep in the sand, they sleep in the rockwork in a mucous cocoon.

Mine disappeared without a trace too a few years ago and I never was able to determine why. I chose not to disassemble the rock work looking for him. Cleanup crews can work quick. Not sure on the life span but I'm sure it's longer than the few years I had him.

I had six line go missing twice, and both times I thought maybe it died somewhere in the tank and cuc ate it, but months later, while cleaning the surrounding area, I found it on the floor behind the tank, completely dried up and all. So I suppose they are jumpers. After the second one died, I did not replace it and my tank's bug and worm population exploded, so now I have another 6 line. FWIW, it is the first time I have seen 6 line sleep in mucous. it did it on the second night in the tank.

Mine used to always sleep in mucus I'm giving up on it I'm pretty sure my anemone are him as my clean up crew is very tiny and he was only about a year old and healthy
