I put a Six Line Wrasse in my tank this past Sat. evening while the actinics were just on. It darted right into the rocks. I have not seen it since, which is only one day. Is this normal for this wrasse.
They can be very shy at first. My 6 line was the most entertaining fish in my 100G, I have very open rockwork and he would do complete laps through every nook and cranny over and over and...
Fun to watch!
Mine did the same thing..I thought "wow, that was a waste of money" hehehe. A month later she's the coolest fish in my softie tank she spends all day darting in and out of the rock work and she's always in view.
I wouldnt worry at this point.. They're shy at first. Just make sure you've checked everywhere that it could have jump out to, or see if it got sucked into the sump (if you have one) and if you dont find it still, i'd assume its just hiding. Also, dont be worried if you find it sitting somewhere with a nasty lookin goo-coating...they sometimes make like a mucus cocoon at night. Freaked me out the first time i saw that.
Yes as well as other timid fish. Mine scared my Yellow Watchman Goby so bad the Watchman lived in my internal overflow box for over two years. Every time I got him out he went right back in after just a few minutes.

I did check! I'm just getting different opinions. Many people have experience different thing with salt water fish and corals, as I have too!!! shrimpin
Darting into the rock is not always what happens with these fish when you introduce them.
Getting along with other fish does not always happens even when you read that they will.
That's why this forum has great suc. because you can ask other people about their experiences.
