I have a 75 gallon aquarium with a 20gallon sump. I have some kenya tree coral, one mushroom, and some zoas. Fish wise I only have 2 clowns so far. The tank has been up and running for about 6 months and I was just curious as to what people thought about adding a sixline as my 3rd fish. I have read mixed things about them being aggressive. I do plan on adding some gobys in the future and one or two larger fish. What do guys think?

Don't add if you plan on getting a mandarin I unfortunately learned that the hard way.
The six. Line was added last but still picked on the mandarin until he perished.

NO 6-lines EVER!!! that $10 fish will make you remove all your aquascape, just to catch/remove it!:uzi::fish2:

+1 NO 6-line wrasse!!! killed some of my most expensive fishes from anthiases to helfrichi firefishes!! not worth the hassle and pain even tho they are inexpensive and nice-looking.

Totally agree with the above, 6-lines are the devils spawn, I had one & it chased / killed more wrasse's then I can count.

I agree, Ive had a few over the yrs and they were all very aggressive. I had one in my 600g and thought the tank would be big enough to add a mystery wrasse... wrong, it took the sixline about a week to kill it.

You fellas are right I wouldnt add one.. He killed my four line wrasse which I had waited for ever to get one. Basterd lol!

+1 mine almost killed my helfrichi firefish and would have if I hadn't put the helfrichi back in quarantine. I still need to figure out how to catch it...

OP get a Mccosker wrasse instead, a much nicer and better looking wrasse than the 6 lined.
