I would like to consider these fish plus some additions along the way. But im not sure of how large of a tank would be ideal. Im thinking between 180 and 240 gallons. Im looking at a pair of mated Clown fish, Regal Tang, Yellow Tang, Poor mans False Idol, Porcupinefish, Royal Gramma, Four-striped damselfish.

This is with the intentions of adding these in the course of a year or more. And this is just the start of the list :spin3:

Id like to know of the issues and problems, and whatever else i may need to know.

I'm not a damsel hater by any means, but one of the meanest little fish I ever came across was a 4 stripe damsel. One might be ok in a large water volume, but the one I had problems with was in a 400g system we maintained. They are cute when they are little, but can grow up to be thugs.

Id go 240g, but ditch the puffer if you want a reef.

Im leaning greatly toward a 240. The wifey is demanding that when we set this tank up that she has a Dorey fish.

In the start this will be a FOWLR tank to a reef as time goes on. Why would a puffer be a bad idea?

Id really like to keep this as much as a happy tank as i possibly can. What were considdering now instead of this guy is a Long horn Cow Fish.

I would go for the 240 but even the 180 would be able to house all those fish.
yellows and hyppo tangs usually go along fine best would be to introduce them together to avoid introducing a new tang to a tank dominated by another tang. Also trying to get two fish with similar size so that they work out their dominance issues without one being much bigger than the other.
