Skeletor EEL suggestions

My skeletor is about 10 inches in length. Eating every other day, currently residing in my 30g. I want to move him to my 180 where there is extensive rocks and PVC piping under the sand to make him feel at home.
Should I move or wait until he is older? If wait, how big should he be?

I think it depends on what is in the 180. Aggressive fish might pose a threat. Also getting food to him could be a tough task if tank mates are going to be trying to eat "his" food before you can get it to him.

So...what's in the 180?

If you feel comfortable you can get food to him you could add him. However being as small as he is and with some aggressive fish he most likely will stay hidden in the rockwork most of the time which would make owning him a little less enjoyable.

If you are trying to run only one tank and want to take the 30 down then I think you can add him to the 180. If the 30 is going to remain up and running regardless of the eel being in there or not I would personally wait until it gets bigger.
