Honestly I post for fun and sometimes to give people ideas. I think posting older photos is fine, but they probably shouldn't be considered for judging.

Fwiw, I only posted an older pic because I figured that's where everything was heading, seeing previous threads. That and I have next to no time to really take pictures of anything not on my own property these days.

Purchased a 17-35 2.8 (needs AF motor replaced... long story) from eBay. Lens is in great shape and even after repair is still a great deal. The 14-24 was simply not in the cards and ultra wide or not, I don't like the fact that it will not take a filter.

Picking up a 24-70 2.8 Friday from a local user... .he has the 70-200 2.8 also, but I am holding out for Santa to bring me one.
