Skimmer advice

I have a 24G tank I am going to start up. I am looking for a skimmer. Used is fine. There are many on the market. I have an Excalaber HOB on my 35. I was either looking for a used excalaber or another brand to cut down on costs. What brands do I need to stay away from. I know to stay away from the Sea Clown.

Still a newbie, my 35g tank is 2-1/2 years old and my nano is one year old.

Depending on what you plan to keep in that tank, I would suggest skipping the skimmer and do weekly water changes, if you wanted to save money. Otherwise, I wouldn't go with anything less than a Remora Pro. I also wouldn't waste time with a Prizm.

If you're wanting an HOB, I'd go with either a used regular Remora or possibly a new Corallife superskimmer. Either would be plenty for a 24g tank, and you might be able to get either for around $100.
HTH,
Mariner
