Skimmer clearance

I am setting up a 240gal FOWLR....the height in the stand is 25"....if I bought a 9015, would I be able to take the cup off without having to lean the skimmer at an angle? How does the foam extraction unit fit into all this? Would a 9015 be enough for this tank?

If you want the foam extractor then get the 9010 and buy the foam extractor to add to it. The 9015 is just a bigger cup longer reaction chamber but the same pump and housing and it would be pointless to spend the extra $100 and not use the cup. It would be very close with the 9015 cup and I think the 9010 with the foam extractor is a better value.

It's my understanding that the skimmer will quit skimming when the collection cup gets full, is that correct?

Performance wise, would there be any difference in a 9010 with extraction unit versus a 9015 without? Wetter or drier skimmate?

The foam riser will make a wetter skimmate, the cups will shut down skimming when full but the foam riser would not.
