I recently upgraded from a 46g to a 150g. I used a CPR Bakpak on the 46 that worked great. I currently have it running on my sump but know I need something bigger. I have been looking at the Bubble Magus Curve 7 because I like the price. Will I be happy with this skimmer or do you have any other suggestions. Ihave a mixed reef with mostly softies and LPS and a couple SPS. I have a1 percula clown, 3 chromis, and a six line wrasse.I would like to get a blue hippo tang and maybe a few other fish down the road. Not looking to go all SPS or heavily stock with fish. What do you think? Please help. There re just too many skimmer options out there.

I replied to your other thread on this subject but the search I linked to was for skimmers for the 150G tank. That said, I failed to provide you any info on the Bubble Magus skimmer. While I have no first hand experience with that skimmer, a quick search on Bubble Magus Curve yielded plenty of threads and after skimming through them, it would seem that the comments are less than impressive when it comes to that skimmer. If it were me, I would choose a different skimmer and check that link I posted in your second thread.

None the less, here is a link to a bunch of threads on BM skimmers. Particularly the curves.

Sorry slief I thought I did something wrong and the thread didn't post because I couldn't find it after I posted it. I still can't find my thread without searching through the new posts until I come across it. Is there a way to view your threads through your profile?

Yes, click your user name at the top right, then select "Statistics". From there, select "Find all posts by Sam3113" (this will show all the posts you have in various threads) or "Find all threads started by Sam113" which will show all the threads you started.

Bubble Magus skimmers are reasonably well built and work fairly well. Their shortcoming is in cheaper chinese pumps. If you want to step up to something a bit better have a look at the Vertex Omega 150. For $100 more you get an Italian Sicce pump on it.
