Skimmer for Aqueon Proflex Model 3 Sump

Hi, got a used Proflex 3 sump a few weeks ago, and can't find any good skimmers that are compact and affordable for a 110 gallon reef. The compartment it is going in is 8.5x 13.75. I am looking for something under $200 dollars. Only thing I could find is Coralife 125, but I haven't heard very good things about it.... Ideas?

reef octopus xs 160. its not in your price rang but its worth it and fits. i recommend a good ato for your sump as well.

I have the same sump and use an SWC 180

A good friend of mine just got this sump for Christmas, we managed to fit a reef octopus nwb-150 by locating the return pump (mag 9.5) externally.

I ordered a reef octopus 150 skimmer yesterday, I should have room with my mag 18 return pump... Crossing fingers.

What size tank are you running? Are you using the "middle" chamber for the skimmer?

No, I am using the last Compartment for it. Middle is a refugium.

I love my proflex sump 4. well, except for a couple things.

I had to modify my 72g bowfront stand to cram the #4 in. but it was worth it.

If you move that adjustable wall to between the second and last compartments, to get a stable water level for your skimmer.

I've got an ATB 840 econocone that fits like a glove.
