Skimmer for JBJ 12G Nano

i think in the nano forum people have been using remoras. Really difficult to find a good one for a tank that small.

Cut out the black stick paper off the right two compartments and make a refugium out of them. Then just hang a cheep small florsent light verticaly and your set. leave some of the black paper near the top or you will have a lot of light shining in your tank at night.

Sweet idea!! I keep forgetting the NC's are glass all the way around.

Skimmers on a Nano are kinda pointless. A 12G is no biggie for water changes.

Dont waste your $$ on the Fission NanoSkimmer. If you absolutely want one I would only suggess a bakpak or similar HOB skimmer that isnt too tall.

Nice job Steve, cool ideal.
Just do small water changes thats all I do.
My jbj 12 looks better then my big tank does. lol.
NO skimmer ever.

thanks for the info. it seems like i will be doing a weekly 1 gallon water change. thanks steve for the idea. i'm gonna look for a small light fixture so i can do as u suggested.

i run both fuge (2 gallons of chaeto stuffed) and a aquac remora.
the light i use is a coralife 18 watt fixture. this is for my 24 gallon sps nano

Sooo many GREAT ideas. The nano is running so well right now ... dont know if I want to disturb a good thing.

I do bi-weekly 40% water changes on my 12G at work. It would be a pain if the UCSB NSW source wasnt 5 minutes away. :D
