ok this is an old skimmer
doc 9010 the bottom plate no longer seals and water was leaking out of it fast as so the water level in chamber wouldent even rise.

i sealed it with silicon and the water is now highenough and pours out of the standpipe

but bubble production seems terriable.
im getting alot of bubbles in the chamber and some foam but over a week almost NO skimate was produced

when this unit was new i could remove the collection cup and the foam was high enought to be sucked into the air inlet but that is no longer the case

any ideas?
already ran it for a day in vineger water

I would suspect that the venturi is fouled or the air intake system, or the silencer assembly may have a leak. You are welcome to send it in and I will get it fixed up.

its an old unit 3 years or so

about how much do you think it would run?
i mean im getting some foam production but the water level of the "base" ( if you know what i mean) of the foam is no where near where it used to be.

if i block the output of the venturie system taht should force water backinto the venturie inlet and clear it right?
i can check the rest of the stuff and seal any cracks.

I would probably replace the bottom plate or bend it back, I would find a better solution than silicon myself, this plate is only about $10. The venturi ideally would be disassembled and cleaned with vinegar and a brush.
