I just got this skimmer and dont know a thing about it. I gave it a vinegar bath and cleaned it up. Its being powered by either a rio 1100 or 2100, I have to take another look. Seems to work nicely, easy to adjust. After the bath it probably needs broken in again. Any idea what the make is? Generic? Nice? POS?

Thanks Eric, after looking at some pics I think you are right. Are these any good?

Super Skimmers are not bad for the money but some what temperamental. They are known to overflow if tank level fluctuates.

YES WATCH TANK LEVEL WHEN IT COMES UP SO DOES WATER IN THE SKIMMER. iTS A DECENT SKIMMER THOUGH. WORKED WELL ON MY 55 WOULDNT USE IT FOR ANYTHING BIGGER THOUGH. PERSONALLY I WOULD ONLY USE IT IN A SUMP I HAD TO MANY MISHAPS WITH IT.

My sister has a 75 without a skimmer so I think it will be going there. I will for sure run it in the sump unless I put a drain in the collection cup.

Thanks everyone for all the input, if you have anymore tips let me know.
