Skimmer Needed

I'm in need of a skimmer ASAP. Mine is out of order. I'm in Findlay and would drive to pick one up if anyone has one for sale. It is needed on my 46 gallon.

Do you have a sump to put it in or do you need a hang on style?

I have a sump but would be willing to hang one if need be.

What skimmer do you want?? I would rather wait and get what you want then buy one just because you don't have one... do you have something delicate in your tank and therefore feel you can't skim for a few days???---

I'd maybe do a larger water change this weekend to tide you over.

Also... you might want to order tonight.. they might ship it tomorrow--I'm not sure if they ship on weekends or not-- anyone know???

You could borrow my Sea Clone 100 or Aqua C urchin if you want but I would want them back (I would want a deposit that I would refund to you upon return)-- I want to run one or both on a HT/QT in the future...

I live west of Toledo (a few miles north of the airport) if you are in dire straights...

I think I saw a Seaclone 150 at Sweet Feed in Toledo-- I don't recall the price---

IMO Seaclones are a bit under rated if you have the patience to dial them in they do pretty good in sump and with a few simple mods...

I never modded mine..

Thank you for the offer. I think I'll run up to Toledo tomorrow morning and shop around. If I can't find anything there that suits me I'll place an order online. I have never been a fan of waiting for things to be shipped to me. Everything else I'm very patient about.....

I don't know if Garys has anything... THere is a Sweet feed Co store a few miles north of Gary's on the right side of the street just after you cross the turnpike--- I haven't been there in a while... there stock was limited but they did have some marine fish stuff-- don't expect real low prices....

The Pets Supplies Plus at the corner of Reynolds and Airport (a few more miles north) has Salt fish and a lousy reef tank... not sure if they stock any skimmers.... they are (or at least were) running a seaclone on it.... looked to be in pretty sad shape...

I get most of my stuff online now adays.... maybe someone else can suggest something.

Gary stocks a skimmer like mine. It's not the best but it does a pretty good job for the price. I don't remember how much it was but I am sure it was under $150. Here is a picture of how well it was skimming shortly after I plugged it in.

The 65 model Ive got works pretty good. I run 2 skimmers on my tank but when I just have the 65 it pulls a cup or more a day. Sometimes wet but heres pictures
