skimmer not skimming

ok i have a coral life supper skimmer 65 and it never pulls any junk from my tank very very seldom do i get any skimmate i do run a hob and lot of flow does this effect anything what are your thoughts

How deep is your pump in the water? This a NW or Venturi model?

I have the same complaint and the same Skimmer. It is a CLSS 125 Needle Wheel. The pump is 8" in the water with skimmer hanging on the side of my sump. I either just dump water or do not produce any skimmate. I am considering a switch to an Aqua C EV-180 I welcome suggestions and comments.

I had one that would not skim anything. I gave up on it and got an ASM Wow what a differance.

contact coralife/esu and ask them, if not try and return it

i wish i could i have done some mods to it now and im using a maxjet 1400 power head and i put a drain line on the collection cup as well as it being plumbed into a uv sterilizer but for tha last 6 months it was doing great and now all of the sudden its not pulling out nothing really a little here and there but thats it and i cleaned it all out 4 days ago and still no improvment

Are you sure you cleaned everything?
I never saw your brand of skimmer but on my red sea berlin (which sucks by the way lol) theres an air hose going to the pump and sometimes that or the pump part it connects to gets clogged with salt and it stops skimming.

it is a coralife super skimmer and yes i cleaned every part to it

I have the same issue with 2 Super skimmers i have owned. they work, then dont work. Everytime i clean them, they need re-tuned in. By the time i get them dialed in. the colletion cup is full and i have to start all over again.. Just ordered a ASM G3 - hopefully my skimmer problems will be solved now.......

These super skimmers seem like the most trouble out of all my equpment... My 220 is only a month old. Just needs a bunch of attention...

Anyone want to buy a month old Super Skimmer 220?? I have a 125 also!
