skimmer on mantis only tank?

Does anyone run a skimmer on their manis only tank? If so which kind. I have recently set up a 15g for a mantis and was thinking of adding a skimmer of some sort, but being such a small tank, I didn't know if it was necissary or not? Let me know your opinions. THanks in advance.

yes it is very necessary, stomatopods eat and crap alot you will have a diatom overrun tank if you dont use a skimmer or you can do alot of water changes, once a week is usually what it needs, thats also with a 40G breeder tank and only the mantis in it in my case

i have a 29 gallon with a O.S mantis. LR and a few corals. I run carbon and a skimmer 24/7. I change the carbon and do a water change every 2 weeks. I use a aquaC Remora skimmer.

I have a 20g with a g. smithii and three damsels. I run a CPR bakpak, but am uncertain it's usefullness. I have a lot of coroline which des a fair amount of "scrubbing". If I had a choice, I would run a skimmer.

I have one 15 with a G. chigra and no skimmer and see no ill effects, but Hairy is odd and is only out about 1 week a month, just long enough to gather up snails and put them into his pantry, then he seals up his burrow. Another 15 has a G. grapherus, reef, and the Tunzi Nano on the tank doesn't seem to do much.

ive got my 30gal with a peacock several soft corals a bubble coral and some sort of sps, it has an aqua-c remora skimmer and a carbon filter. In my 10 gal i have a yellow damsel and a g. smithii with just a wet/dry filter with carbon

Smaller bodies of water are more volitile right? I do 1g weekly water change, no skimmer needed

Well i went ahead and got the remora nano skimmer for this tank, just in case, i'm sure i'll upgrade and do some more stuff to this tank in the future, so i'm sure it'll be a good investment later on in the future.
