skimmer pump upgrade question

Anyone have opinions on an Bubble Blaster HY-3000 Pump w/pinwheel impeller?

Currently using a Sedra 9000 with pinwheel on an old GEO 8.5" by 24" skimmer body in recirc.

Or better yet, the HY-5000 from reef specially... supposedly rated to go up to 85 SCFH. The HY-3000 is about 50 SCFH. Cost difference in power is roughly $1 a month.

I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, the Sedra 9000 is lucky to even get 20 SCFH.

sedra 9000 on the GEO you have is probably getting between 7-15 scfh max, those bubble blaster pumps are nice or a askoll 1500 would do you the same, i've heard the bubbleblasters run cooler and better external on a recirc so they might be your best bet

I've been using an Octo HY3000 as a replacement for a sicce and I'm very happy with it. They run strong, quiet and cool.
