I have had my Coralife Super Skimmer now for about a week and I'm not sure how it works or how skimmers work in general. I know it may not be the best skimmer on the market but I got it for a great price, it's brand new, and I've heard a decent amount of good reviews.
I have the water level fixed perfect with baffles so that is locked in, but I don't quite understand how the bubbles should be in the cone. Are the bubbles supposed to go up to the top of the cone and into the cup? If so the cup fills up within a couple of hours. Or are the bubble supposed to come close to the top (1" or so)? If so it seems like everything (which isn't much) just settles in the cone and the cup never fills up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
