skimmer question

Hi folks,
I got a bubble magus curve 5 skimmer that i put it in my sump few weeks ago. This weekend, I emptied the cup but also washed thoroughly in an out in running water before placing the cup back on the skimmer. My question is whether the skimmer will again have to "break in" since I washed the neck and inside of the cup, or not.

No need for a break in again, I always wash my skimmer cups and they always performed as expected afterwords.

I believe the break in period is more due to residuals left from the manufacturing process.
