Skimmer Question

I am building a 60 gal cube tank. The tank will have a filter box (sump) built onto the back of it (primarly for my Osmolator, but also for a skimmer.)

So I was wondering what are the differences and pros/cons of the Automatic 3115/2 vs. the Universal 0220.3?

Which would you recomend?

The Comline models were revised earlier this year and now have a slight advantage over the centrifugal models. I would go with the 3115/2 or even the 3130/2. Comline units are also easier to install unless you have a fairly shallow sump.

My "sump" will have an area 18 high (with a water level two inches below the top edge) and 6 inches deep by 8 inches wide. Is this deep enough?

Yes, it should fit, it is about 5" square by 11" deep plus another 4" that stick out of the water.
