Skimmer questions...

Didn't get to talk to you at macna ( rodger ) as no one was at the booth when I was there saturday and sunday. Anyways.... I've got a 37 gallon tank I just moved to a differen't room and I'm running two 6025s and two 6045s on it right now and it's a pretty good amount of flow for a BB tank. Anyways.... Now It's time to purchase a skimmer as I wasn't able to at macna. Which model ( doc series ) would you recommend? I'm assume the 9002 won't be able to handle a BB tank? I'll also buy a nano cleaner so I can run carbon as I'm not going to have a sump.

Yeah, I was looking for you. I had a very early flight Sunday so I had to pack up early. I would get the 9005.

That's what I thought but just wanted to check. I did see a paper on an Tunze RO unit? Any info on those? Are they new or have they been around?

I run the 9005 internally in my 37 and it works well. I just cleaned it yesterday for the first time in almost a year and its performance has increased dramatically. Never underestimate the power of clean equipment. The tank is BB with a 6055 and a 6025 for flow, an Osmolator, and a heater. There is no need for surface skimming as the Nano Streams do not allow the accumulation of a film. I run carbon a couple days a month in a small internal filter which I remove. There is something to be said for simplicity.
