Skimmer Recirculating pump error: impeller jammed

Hi

Need help to figure this out. I have an old SRO 5000ext with bubble blaster pump (recirculating) that has been running for over 5 years. I had the impeller explode and jammed 1-2 years ago and I replaced the impeller and it worked fine. It again stopped working and I opened up pump and cleaned it. There was bunch of sand like material that I thoroughly cleaned. However the pump still does not work, it hums when turned on and I can see the impeller vibrating but not spinning. After re-cleaning, it did spin for 1 second and then jammed again.

Any fixes for this or should I just buy a replacement pump.

If the impeller turns freely on the shaft then you have a choice. Either buy a new impeller (may be a waste of money because the block is bad) or buy a new motor. If the impeller does not turn easily on the shaft then work on getting it to turn freely by using vinegar soak

Thank you. The impeller does move freely. I guess the motor block has gone bad. I will go with a new pump. Thanks for the input. I appreciate it.
