Skimmer Recommendations

I've got a 475 gallon aquarium fairly heavily stocked and about 200 gallons of other system volume between sumps and reactors. I don't have sump room for an internal skimmer so I'm looking solely at an external setup. Could I get a recommendation from someone on what royal exclusiv skimmer they would recommend??? Thanks again for all the help!

How many fish in the system and what size? A heavy load is about 1/2" of fish per display volume.

I’ve got about 125-150” of tangs/angels. Then about 100” of small fish.

In that case, an SM250 or even better a Deluxe 250. The BK’s are very conservately rated so I wanted to be sure you had a decent load before making a recommendation. Both are our flagship models but the Deluxe allows for a bit more fine tuning and will dry skim as well as it will wet skim where as the Supermarin’s are designed to wet skim. You could go with a Deluxe 300 but the Deluxe 250 would have no issues keeping up. I wouldn’t recommend the SM300 though.

I run an SM250 on my 500 gallon display. I have a similar load with about 70 fish. Many of which are large. The only skimmer I’d trade mine for would be the Deluxe.
