skimmer trouble

hey every one I am having a problem with my skimmer leaking I replaced the o-ring but still leaks the leak is in the joint were the fill tube connects to the main tube I cant figure out why it is still leaking any one had this problem before if so how did you fix it any advice would be greatly appreciated

One thing you might try is using some food-safe silicone lubricant on the seal.

What kind of skimmer is it? Can you post a picture?

Im guessing it is a sea clone(seaclown) Oddly enough they made a improved union on the newer models and in fact this improvement ended up being the biggest problem...You can double up on the o-ring if you want or cut one out of epdm material if not cut it out and use the old coupler vinyl as the seal....sometimes the simpliest design is the best!!

well I tried doubling the o ring and the flange cracked so I used silicone on it and think I want to get another one all together so does any one have used one that dosent leak wanting to get rid of oh and thanks for all the info guys
