Skimmer upgrade for my 90.

I am torn on what to get as far as skimmers for my 90. I have a RO POV DC-1 skimmer on order right now but it wont be here until mid april. I already sold my old skimmer because the website showed that the skimmers were in stock but it wasnt until after I ordered the skimmer that I recieved a letter saying they were waiting on a shipment. I dont know if its a good idea to wait that long to get a skimmer back on my system. It only has three fish and three BTA in it right now so I dont know. I am looking at other options right now and I need help. Was thinking RO 2000SSS and the Alpha cone 170 by vertex. I want to stay away from Sicce pumps for reasons I wont put here I dont blast brands. Any advice is appreciated.

You can't go wrong with either but if you can afford the Vertex Alpha, then by all means go for that one. Their performance matches their hideous price tag.

I'm not rich my any means and 800$ is a lot but I don't really want to buy another skimmer after this one so the 170 might be it.

I am using a sroxp1000sss on my 90 gallon. Works very very well. I would recommend reef octopus as far as price compared to performance.

The sss looks nice as well how is the BB pump compared to the sicce?

I have the RO 1000LSS on about 100 gallons and it works awesome. Couldn't be happier. Reef Oct makes a great product. It is a shame that their prices all jumped up about 2 month ago.

Is the curve there new line ? I don't know of anyone who uses bubble magus currently.
