Skimmer upgrade :)

No, I still have not figured out which pump to get for it. I have been running it without the extension and it has been working great just with the extended becketts.

I had an idea while I was at work tonight. What size plumbing do you have feeding the Dart and what size exiting?

From what I've read on the Dart pumps you HAVE TO HAVE a 2" line feeding that pump and a 1.5" exiting or multiple smaller outlets. If not the pump will be too restricted and will not have enough power!

Just an idea I had, not sure if it will help or not. If that don't work we have some 1200 gpm pumps at work but you'd have to figure out some way to hook the hydrolics up to them to make them work! 1200 gpm = :eek1: GPH :D

Yea, I worked at the DSM Airport last summer fueling the airlines and cargo. Our trucks pumped upwards of 600-800 gpm. Lets just say it takes for ever to fill your car after work.

I'm thinking of making my own skimmer. But I got no skills! Girls like guys who have skills!

I am pretty good with a bo staff though!

I'd love to have a meeting where we all get together agree on a plan and have a DIY meeting :P

Making a skimmer isn't that bad. Just oversize the pump and reaction chamber. Also make sure to add a gate valve.
