I run a 65g EcoSystem with a larger then necessary refug. All my water chems are fine. With this system I don't really need a skimmer since the bio filter is about 30g's and that is more then what this system needs.
So, i really don't need a skimmer. BUT, the best EcoSystem's out there are using a smaller skimmer in a modified model of what EcoSystem was designed for.
And in fact, EcoSystem now sells a refug tank complete with a...you guessed it...small skimmer.
My problem is I need an in sump skimmer and that section of the under tank is less then 5" wide - so I need a skimmer with a foot print of about 4" square.
Remember, it does not need to support a 65g tank only but help with the filtration process.
Any suggestions?
