What skimmer would you all recamend for a 125g set up? I will prob have a 40G fuge and a 30-40g sump. It will be a few sps but mostly softies and fish. I wont have a lot of money for this so nothing crazy. Diy is a option as well so maybe some designs would be cool.

I've been researching skimmers a lot lately, about to get one for my new 90 gal.

From what I've found the best skimmers for the best price for this size of tank would be the bubble magus 160 / NAC6, or the octopus nwb 150 or 200. If you have the extra money look into the MSX or Octopus Extreme. Euro Reef has some good reviews also.

I was thinking maybe the DIY cause I have a 8in diameter pvc pipe. I just have not been able to figure out what to use for the top to reduce it. I also don't know what size pump to use either. I would like to feed it from one of my overflows. Then use recirc pumps.
