Does having a Anemone make your skimmer work more? I noticed since I've had my LTA my skimmer seems to be pulling alot more out. Thanks

Don't think the two are related. Are you feeding the nem. Are you feeding more in general?

The anemone itself doesn't cause any change that I know of, but if you feed the anemone it will produce waste like anything else you feed.

How large is it? What size tank do you have? Are you feeding the anemone? The skimmer pulls out more when there is more to pull out.

The answer is yes. Anemones produce a lot of waste. Usually consider a medium sized anemone to be about five fish when your are trying to figure out bio load.

out of curiosity, do anemones produce a lot of waste even when not fed regularly?

I cant answer this definetively.. but even when not eating, if healthy, they are producing metabolic energy through the photosynthetic process occuring withing the zooxanthellae. There is always significant waste generated from any metabolic process.
