I posted this in the WTB section also, but for obvious reasons, I would much rather ask around locally. I have been looking for a HOB skimmer. I have read a lot of different views on three different models that I have been looking for. Prizm Deluxe, Bak Pak 2+r, and last but not least the Remora. I havent really read much of any negative about the Remora, except price tag. Just curious to see if anyone has any input on these models or possibly have an old one laying around gathering dust?

I'd definately rate the Remora at the top of the list, then the BP, and wouldn't spend the time with the Prizm... The remora's pop up from time to time, be sure to also check out nano-reef.com you might find a used on there. Lots of HOB skimmers always changing hands on the nanos.

dont get aprizm. i would get the tunze nano skimmer, great reviews, awesome company

deltec makes some nice hang on skimmers

Tunzie Nano is a nice skimmer but its really not a HOB skimmer. It actually goes in the tank. I took mine out so I could fit the lights and glass top on my tank.

Well, took the jump, just bought a Remora. Now its one of those things I dont think I can wait until the weekend to do.
