skimmer?

ok people i have a berlin x2 ventri skimmer that i originally had for a 40 gallon tank. i used it as a hang on the back skimmer.
now i have a 65 gallon reef ready tank and i have this skimmer in the sump. and i was wondering if this skimmer is good enough for the 65.
its both a hang on the back skimmer or u can use it in the sump.

Im useing the pump that came with it. I guess these skimmers can eaither be a wheel or a venturi. But mine is a venturi. I hope this answeres ur question. Or do u mean like brand pump or size pump?

From my experience with the berlin series i have had better luck with that venturi. I currently use a berlin xl on my frag system and I like it I just have to get a new pump my current one is going out. What can you say I have had it running for proably 12 years or so.

Id go with a bigger skimmer....id rather have too much than not enough skimate. IMO

check local clubs or craigslist for a good used one(easier on the wallet)

a msx160 would be a perfect skimmer for that size tank.

It really depends on your fish load and how much you feed to determine if a skimmer is too small.

So basically I can use my skimmer and have my fuge running. And I should be ok if I feed every other day?
