Skimmers are not Tunze's forte.

:lol: I just wanted to share that comment I read in a different forum. Someone was inquiring about Tunze skimmers and he was advised that skimmers were not Tunze's forte. I gave him a little history lesson.

FYI ,That DAS are cheaper than the Tunze's as are the Xtreme MSX skimmers

Yeah, I have an MSX 250 and I will tell you it is certainly not plug and play. In fact the pumps have been sent back to be machined because the mod job was crap. As it stands now I give the MSX 250 an F. We'll see if the grade goes up when I get the pumps back.

You purchased the first run of the skimmers...didyou not expect any problems ? I don't know why you are complaining, they are going to machine the pumps for and redo the mess/zip ties for free. Once they are machined and the proper mesh diam zipped on, it will be a killer skimmer. I'm actually going to sell my DAS and Deltec Skimmers and go with a MSX, that is how much i like their design.


BTW, How many issues has Tunze had with the Nano Streams ?

Also, for future reference ...it's always best to let someone else purchase a first run and be the guinea pig
