Skinning the stand

What type of wood do you guys like to use when skinning a diy stand? Thank you

Maple or Birch. Same thing many home cabinets are made out of. Using common woods makes it easier to get fancy in stock trim pieces.

Cabinet grade plywood. If you are not using for structure I would go with 1/4" to keep the weight down. If you are painting you can get the cheaper stuff but if you want to stain it you may want the better stuff. Go to Home Depot and look at what they have.

Cool thanks guys. I'm gonna paint it. Would like to trim similar to my kitchen cabinets because it is just off the kitchen now
